Our exclusive 1 mm European hemp butcher's twine is custom-made from all-natural hemp fiber and wound onto traditional disposable plastic spoletta hand spools. Designed for sausage makers, charcuterie producers, and butchers, this twine provides excellent grip, knot security, and durability for tying salami, coppa, pancetta, whole-muscle cures, and other traditional products.
Each spoletta contains approximately 50 g of twine, providing roughly 125–150 feet of usable length.
For Best Results
Before use, soak the entire spool in water for 2–3 minutes until the twine is fully hydrated. Hydrating the hemp softens the fibers, makes tying easier on your hands, improves knot retention, and helps keep the spool tightly wound during use.
Because this is a traditional hand spool, maintaining tension on the twine while working is important. Keep a firm grip on the spool and wrap the twine around a finger before pulling tight. This helps prevent the twine from loosening on the spool, reducing the risk of tangles and ensuring smooth, efficient tying.
